In ‘Tea Moments’, the writer reflecting on her own real-life experiences invites the reader to an awareness of God’s Presence and Wisdom in the ordinary mundane moments of daily life. Reading through the narration of these stories is like having a spiritual chai pe charcha with the writer. It feels almost similar to what you could get after making a retreat.
In every story, even the simplest, there is matter for much contemplation which does not lead to teaching that is moralistic but to a grasp of what is moral.
A popular song sung by an Egyptian soprano contains these words: “A shade by the side of our Nile is worth a thousand palaces”. This could not have been said unless she experienced that in simple things and occurrences, is great wisdom and wealth. In every one of her many personal stories in ‘Tea Moments’ the writer bears out this truth.
